Fitting preload adjustable right Angle joint

Preload of a connector is an axial structural load that must be applied to any connector to maintain its seal. It is obtained by loading the tension element.Preloading requirements usually govern the basic design of the connector.Preloaded with three functions: 1) fixing the seal, 2) providing a force to prevent the coupling from separating due to structural loading, and 3) providing an elastic potential energy joint manufacturer to maintain the seal load at all times, regardless of the size change due to stress relaxation and temperature difference due to axial and bending loads.

In order to maintain an appropriate seal load, it is necessary to add a preload to the fitting that is greater than the combined value of the possible end axial pressure load and other external service loads.Standard stainless steel joint manufacturers also provide adequate preloading to compensate for dimensional variations due to temperature differences.However, the preload should be set somewhere in between;One kind of preload is necessary to prevent the connection from separating or the seal from leaking. The other kind of preload may cause the tension element in the connection to fail.

Standard stainless steel joints can be preloaded in either continuous or parallel form.In a continuous (loading) mode, the entire compression force generated by the preload is transferred to the sealing element, so that any slight change in the applied load will make the seal feel a slight change in the load.Therefore, in the continuous mode, the tensile element should be elastic enough to prevent the plastic rheology of the seal without load, resulting in a load below the minimum sealing load.In parallel (loading) mode, the seal only bears all the compression force before the two halves of the fitting are fully joined. After that, if the axial force is further increased, the preload on the fitting is added directly through the flange, and only a small part of the additional load is borne by the seal.
